Julius Evola (1898-1974) was an Italian philosopher, esotericist, and political thinker whose work has become the most widely read body of Traditionalist thought in the West. This bundle collects the four books that form the core of his intellectual project, covering metaphysics, political theory, practical strategy, and spiritual discipline.

What's Included

Revolt Against the Modern World (1934) is the magnum opus. Evola divides human history into a Traditional world (hierarchical, sacral, rooted in transcendent principles) and a Modern world (egalitarian, materialist, in progressive decline). The first half reconstructs the Traditional worldview through comparative mythology, sacred geography, and the doctrine of cosmic cycles. The second half traces the stages of decline from the fall of the Roman Empire through the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and the rise of democracy and socialism. The book is sweeping, polemical, and uncompromising.

Ride the Tiger (1961) is the survival manual. Written for the man who accepts that the modern world cannot be reformed but refuses to withdraw into passivity, it prescribes a stance of active detachment: remaining in the world without being absorbed by it. Evola engages with Nietzsche, Heidegger, existentialism, modern art, and the dissolution of sexual norms.

Men Among the Ruins (1953) is the political book. Written in the aftermath of World War II and Evola's own crippling injury during the bombing of Vienna, it presents his vision of a post-democratic political order based on organic hierarchy, the warrior aristocracy, and the European imperial tradition.

The Doctrine of Awakening (1943) is Evola's reading of early Buddhism as an aristocratic discipline of self-mastery rather than a religion of compassion and renunciation. He argues that the original teaching of the Buddha was a warrior's path, and that later Buddhist developments diluted it into something sentimental.
