Yockey's Shorter Writings

Francis Parker Yockey is remembered primarily for Imperium, his 1948 attempt at a Spenglerian philosophy of history and politics. But Yockey wrote extensively throughout the late 1940s and 1950s, producing essays, pamphlets, open letters, and political analyses that circulated in samizdat among a small network of European and American contacts. World in Flames collects these shorter writings, many of which were previously difficult or impossible to find.

What the Collection Contains

The writings span roughly a decade of Yockey's political activity, from the immediate postwar period to the late 1950s. They cover the geopolitical situation in Europe under American occupation, the Cold War as Yockey understood it (not a genuine conflict but a stage-managed distraction), the question of European unity, and the cultural and demographic transformations he believed were being imposed on the West by forces hostile to its survival.

Where Imperium operates at the level of grand historical theory and The Enemy of Europe functions as strategic analysis, these shorter pieces are running commentary. They respond to specific events, address specific audiences, and reveal Yockey's thinking in its day-to-day application. The prose is urgent, polemical, and frequently conspiratorial in its analysis. Readers already familiar with Yockey's major works will find the shorter writings fill in gaps and provide context. New readers will find them a faster, if less systematic, introduction to his worldview.
