The book is poorly organized and repetitive in places, but it contains everything Hitler intended to say about his ideology and program.

In His Own Words: The Essential Speeches of Adolf Hitler collects Hitler's major public speeches from the early NSDAP period through the war years. The speeches are the medium through which Hitler actually exercised power. His oratory was the engine of the movement, and reading the speeches in sequence reveals the rhetorical strategies, the escalation of claims, and the relationship between audience and speaker that made the NSDAP a mass phenomenon.

Voice of Triumph: Hitler's Speeches at Nuremberg focuses specifically on the Nuremberg Party Congress addresses from 1933 to 1938, the annual set-piece events that served as the regime's liturgical calendar. These are the speeches of a head of state performing for a captive audience of hundreds of thousands, and they differ in tone and content from the campaign speeches of the earlier period.

Review of Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler by George Orwell (1940) is the British writer's short, penetrating assessment of Hitler's book and character, written at the moment when the war had just begun. Orwell's review is notable for its honesty about Hitler's appeal and its refusal to dismiss him as merely insane.
