This four-book collection was assembled in collaboration with the Severum Perspective account on Instagram. The selection runs from the grand historical sweep of Spengler down to the raw contemporary fiction of Mike Ma, with Bowden's rhetorical energy connecting them. Four books, one through-line: civilizational diagnosis, intellectual radicalism, and the literature of the present moment.

What's Included

The Decline of the West by Oswald Spengler (Cosimo Classics, two volumes in one). The most ambitious work of historical philosophy produced in the twentieth century. Spengler maps the life cycles of eight high cultures, argues that each follows an organic pattern from birth to senility, and diagnoses the West as entering its terminal "civilization" phase. First published 1918-1922. This edition collects both volumes in a single binding.

Extremists: Studies in Metapolitics by Jonathan Bowden (Counter-Currents). A series of lectures and essays profiling radical thinkers and artists of the twentieth century, from Bill Hopkins to Savitri Devi to Wyndham Lewis. Bowden's style is confrontational and theatrical. These are intellectual portraits delivered at full volume.

Gothic Violence by Mike Ma (Independently Published). A short, hallucinatory work of prose fiction set against the backdrop of American cultural disintegration. Ma writes in compressed, violent bursts. The book reads less like a novel and more like a transmission from inside a collapsing structure.

Harassment Architecture by Mike Ma (Independently Published). Ma's follow-up. More polished than Gothic Violence, but no less confrontational. Fiction and essay blur together in a book that became an underground literary phenomenon through word of mouth and social media alone.
